According to the Poltava Regional Military Administration, about a thousand people could be in the Amstor shopping center when Russian missiles hit Kremenchuk.
Vadym Denysenko, an adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, announced this on the air of the United News telethon.
– There is no exact figure, but an approximate figure – there could be up to a thousand people at this time (the moment of the missile strike. – Ed.). Unfortunately, we do not have enough air defense that could shoot down Russian missiles.
What the Ukrainian president is talking about, what we have been talking about lately, we just need to strengthen our air defense. Everything that happened yesterday in Kyiv. Thank God that the kindergarten in which Russians entered didn’t work yesterday, – he told.
According to Denysenko, the Russians are shooting at civilian targets in order to sow panic and destroy our infrastructure.
Another reason, he said, was an attempt to raise the stakes so that the civilized West would sit down with them at the negotiating table again.
On June 27, the Russians fired several missiles at a shopping center in Kremenchuk. According to Kremenchuk Mayor Vitaliy Maletsky, the missiles hit an object that has nothing to do with “military action.”
As of 5:45 p.m., at least two people were killed and 20 others were injured.
