Russian troops shelled Slovіansk with cluster shells, as a result – four civilians were killed and seven more people were injured. This was reported by the mayor of Sloviansk, Vadym Lyakh. According to him, these projectiles did not cause severe damage to the buildings, but they are very dangerous for local residents.
– The evening was very difficult. The Lymany microdistrict came under fire. Peaceful private sector where there are no military facilities. Four people died, seven were injured, – said the mayor of Sloviansk.
According to him, the Russian army is constantly shelling the city with cluster shells. He urged civilians to stay in shelters, not to leave buildings unnecessarily, as about 90% of the affected people were outside.
– They (cluster shells, – Ed.) open overhead like fireworks, but instead of beauty they bring death. 90% of the killed and wounded were on the street. Do not leave the premises unnecessarily. Avoid mass gatherings of people, – stressed the city head.
The mayor of Slovіansk added that humanitarian aid is not yet being provided on the territory of the city, as constant shelling continues and considerable danger remains.
