Explosions in Melitopol: black smoke rises in the area of the factory captured by the occupiers

In the temporarily occupied Melitopol of the Zaporizhzhia region, powerful explosions were heard by the entire city.

Updated at 8:26 p.m. Residents notice black smoke at the western exit from Melitopol – in the area of the Avtokolorlyt factory captured by the occupiers, which the enemy turned into a military base, mayor Ivan Fedorov said.

– The occupiers immediately reported about the “successful work of air defense”, but smoke rises from the ground to the sky. Probably, Russian air defense is ground-based, – he commented.

Updated at 6:42 p.m. The mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov, announced the explosions. He noted that all the details are currently being clarified.

It is worth noting that the air alert signal is currently sounding in the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Luhansk regions and in the Crimea.
