The building of the Lukyanivska metro station was damaged as a result of a rocket attack on Kyiv. Initially, the station was only used as a shelter, but now it has resumed normal operations.

There were no injuries due to the damage to the Lukyanivska lobby, and the exit towards Illenko Street is temporarily closed, the Kyiv City State Administration reported.

Instead, the exit in the direction of the Kvadrat shopping center is open. The station has resumed operations for passenger transportation.

According to the Kyiv City State Administration, thousands of people were at the subway stations during the morning massive missile attack on Kyiv, and more than 2,500 people were at the stations during the night alarms.

During the air raid alert, all lobbies of 46 underground stations are open to the public. To make your stay at the stations more comfortable, there are folding chairs, modular benches and blankets, and 4G internet access.

Consequences of the attack on Kyiv

At the same time, the search for victims is underway in the Podil district, where a warehouse fire broke out over an area of approximately 3,000 square meters. Preliminary, 10 people are trapped under the rubble. Rescuers are working.

Sviatoshynskyi, Podilskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kyiv came under fire. Civilian infrastructure, cars and warehouses were damaged.
