Explosions rang out in Kryvyi Rih on Wednesday, June 12. The Russian army launched a missile attack on the residential sector.

The explosions in Kryvyi Rih were the result of a Russian missile attack on residential buildings in the city on the afternoon of June 12.
According to Oleksandr Vilkul, chairman of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, the emergency rescue operation ended on the evening of June 12. As of the morning of June 13, nine people died, and the number of injured increased from 29 to 32 people. Five children are among the injured.
13 wounded were hospitalized in city hospitals, five of them are in serious condition, one person is in extremely serious condition.
Liquidation of the consequences of the Russian missile attack continues at the site of the impact – 12 brigades of utility workers have been involved.
Tomorrow, June 14, a day of mourning for the dead has been announced in Kryvyi Rih.
The Prosecutor General’s Office informed that due to the Russian missile strike, criminal proceedings have been initiated on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2, Article 438) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
At the site of the impact, employees of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, communal services, and volunteers did everything possible to save as many people as possible. Cynologists with search dogs and psychologists also worked.
The police documented another Russian war crime.
Missile attack on Kryvyi Rih: Zelensky’s reaction
President Volodymyr Zelenskyу reacted to the Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih.
– Every day and every hour, Russian terror proves that Ukraine, together with its partners, must strengthen air defense… My condolences to the families and relatives of the victims. All the necessary services are working on the spot, – he wrote.
The President also emphasized that modern air defense systems are capable of providing maximum protection of people, Ukrainian cities and positions.
– And we need them as much as possible – summed up the head of state.
Explosions in Kryvyi Rih on June 12: what is known
After the explosion, it was reported that smoke was rising over the city. Before that, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported a high-speed target in the direction of Kryvyi Rih.
Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih City Defense Council, confirmed the explosion and urged local residents not to film or post anything on the Internet.
