Great Britain calls a UN Security Council meeting after the russian atrocities in Bucha

Great Britain which is leading the Security Council of the UN in April 2022 is calling a meeting on April the 5th. The main topic will become the russian war crimes on Ukrainian territories.
This has been stated by the Great Britain Permanent Representative Barbara Woodward on her Twitter.
– This weekend we saw the pictures from Bucha, where unarmed civilian Ukrainians with tied hands behind their back were shot. There were over 800 corpses left on the streets or thrown into mass graves. Women were raped in front of their children’s eyes, – she said.
Barbara Woodward noted that Britain is going to use its voting in the UNSC to ensure transparency, accountability, and justice in the review of russian war crimes evidence in Ukraine, In the liberated Kyiv region in particular.
The UK will call a #UNSC meeting tomorrow on #Ukraine. We will discuss the mounting evidence of war crimes, including from #Bucha.

We note that Kremlin keeps hypocritically denying any connections with the war crimes against civilians.
Yesterday, April 3rd, Russia offered to set up a UNSC meeting regarding “blatant provocation in Bucha by Ukrainian radicals”. The attempt as well as the next one on April 4th was a failure for putin’s diplomats.
At the same time, russia would have an opportunity to pronounce their narratives tomorrow, Barbara Woodward the Permanent Representative of the UK said.
