The EU introduced free roaming for Ukrainian refugees

The joint statement on ensuring affordable and free roaming and international calls between the EU and Ukraine was signed by 24 EU telecom operators and three Ukrainian telecom operators, as stated on the website of the European Commission.
It is noted that in the future the number of operators may increase.
— The joint statement aims to lay a more stable foundation to help displaced Ukrainians in Europe stay in touch with family and friends who have stayed at home, – the statement said.
The European Commission added that telecom operators had distributed millions of SIM-cards to refugees from Ukraine for free.
Refugees using such SIM cards also managed to take advantage of international calls to Ukraine free of charge.
From April 8, the declaration is open to all operators who wish to sign it at any time. It will be applied for three months before revision.
