OSCE declares Russian shelling of Mariupol drama theater and maternity hospital war crimes

Experts from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) have officially recognized the shelling of a maternity hospital and drama theater in Mariupol as war crimes committed by Russia.
This is stated in the latest OSCE report, published on April 13. It is dedicated to the events in Ukraine in the period from February 24 to April 1.
– In general, the report documents the inhumane acts committed by Russian troops in Ukraine. This includes evidence of attacks on civilians, attacks on hospitals, rape, executions, looting and the forcible deportation of civilians to Russia, – said US Ambassador to the OSCE Michael Carpenter.
The “deliberate killings” and “forced abductions of civilians” committed by Russia in Ukraine will be described by the OSCE as crimes against humanity.
At the same time, information on the killings of civilians in Bucha and other towns and villages in the Kyiv region was not included in the OSCE report.
The Organization explained this by the fact that the data was confirmed after the completion of the report.
