Ukraine is asking the G7 for $ 50 billion to cover the budget deficit

Official Kyiv has submitted a request to the G7 for $ 50 billion. They will be used to cover Ukraine’s budget deficit amid a full-scale Russian invasion.
This was stated in a comment to journalists by the adviser to the President of Ukraine on economic issues Oleh Ustenko.
He also added that Ukraine may introduce the issuance of zero-coupon bonds, which do not provide for the payment of interest.
The G7 is an international association of the governments of the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Canada.
G7 leaders made a statement on March 24 calling for an immediate end to the war in Ukraine and the withdrawal of Russian troops from its territory. They also warned the aggressor country against the use of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons.
All seven G7 states assured Ukraine of their support and welcomed the launch of an international investigation into racist war crimes.
