Russian ambassador to Warsaw was painted with red paint with shouts “fascists”

In Warsaw (Poland), Ambassador of the Russian Federation Serhiy Andreev was painted with red paint. The incident occurred while he was trying to lay a wreath at the cemetery of Soviet soldiers in the Polish capital.
The Wyborcza newspaper reports that the Russian diplomat had to leave the place accompanied by police.

A video of the incident with Andreev near the monument to Soviet soldiers killed in World War II was published by a number of publications and users on social networks.
In addition to spilling paint on the Russian ambassador, protesters chanted the word fascists.
It is also known that the Ukrainian community held an anti-war action near the mausoleum.

On May 7, the Warsaw City Hall announced a ban on Russians celebrating Victory Day on May 9 in the capital. The mayor of the Polish capital, Rafal Tschaskowski, stressed that no Polish government agency should take part in the initiative of the Russian embassy.
He called for an immediate ban on such an initiative: I do not agree with the aggressor holding a holiday in Warsaw.
Earlier, it was reported that the Russian Embassy appealed to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for support in celebrating Victory Day in Warsaw.
