Russia tries to surround the Severodonetsk direction; the Armed Forces of Ukraine control the front line – British intelligence

The aggressor country Russia has increased the intensity of aggressive actions in the Donbas, trying to surround Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, and Rubizhne. Currently, the northern and southern regions are separated from the battlefield by about 25 km of territory controlled by Ukraine.
According to British intelligence, the capture of the Severodonetsk direction will lead to the occupation of the entire Luhansk region of Ukraine.
If the front line in Donbas moves further west, it will only stretch the military forces of the Russian Federation, which will face further difficulties in providing logistics to its army.
According to intelligence, Ukrainian defenders have been carrying out heroic resistance, capturing well-established defensive positions. Forces of Joint Forces Operation keep effective command and control of the front line.
However, according to British intelligence, the Russian Federation has achieved some local successes, partially due to the concentration of artillery units.
