Russian media spread a fake about the mobilization of Ukrainians from Poland

The Russian Federation is again trying to spread fake news about Ukraine. This time, the Moscow media claim that Ukraine is allegedly asking for information about all Ukrainians under the age of 60 who are in Poland.
According to the Center for Countering Disinformation, the Government Security Center found a fake letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, which allegedly came from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. The letter asks to provide information on all men of military age, which is supposed to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to mobilize the citizens of Ukraine.
Experts noted that the misinformation appeared on February 3 on the website of the Russian news agency. Already on June 17, this fake published a puppet Telegram channel.
– The enemy is trying to obtain personal information about Ukrainians who are abroad, for further information and psychological operations aimed at reducing the level of trust in Ukraine in general, – said in a statement.
The Center for Counteracting Disinformation calls for checking suspicious pseudo-documents published on social networks. Citizens are asked to learn information only from the official websites of the state authorities of Ukraine.
