Reserves are probably running out: the Russian Federation is withdrawing obsolete equipment for the offensive in Ukraine

The Russian army is transferring reserve forces and gathering them near the borders of Ukraine for future offensive operations. Most new infantry units deploy with MT-LB armored personnel carriers removed from long-term storage.
According to British intelligence, these armored vehicles are used as the main transport. Although MT-LBs have previously been used for flanking support, Russia has long considered them unsuitable for most advanced infantry transport tasks. Most likely, the reserves of the Russian Federation are already running out.
MT-LB armored personnel carriers were developed back in the 1950s. The vehicle has limited armor and is only equipped with machine guns for protection.
Back in February, Russian troops were using BMP-2 with up to 33 mm armor, powerful 30 mm guns and anti-tank missile launchers. Despite the numerous statements of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the Russian army began to use outdated equipment.
