Russia is not announcing an official mobilization but continues mass recruitment of contract servicemen. More than 22,000 new vacancies for military personnel have appeared in Russian regional employment centers.

At least seven units involved in the war of aggression against Ukraine have posted vacancies for snipers, spotters, drivers, medical instructors, and other specialists.

Some of the Russian units were involved in the killing and torturing of civilians in Bucha. These include the 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade from the Khabarovsk region and the 104th Guards Airborne Assault Regiment.

Watching now

The 37th Motorized Rifle Brigade from Buryatia is looking for military personnel most of all – it has the most casualties among other units. The new vacancies indicate significant losses in the Russian army and a general problem with manpower replenishment.

British intelligence noted that this is why the Russian army took a pause before the offensive in the Donbas because it lacked human resources.
