The Russian Federation lost about 70-80 thousand soldiers killed and wounded in Ukraine – the Pentagon
The army of the Russian Federation lost 70,000 to 80,000 personnel. This number includes both killed and wounded Russian soldiers.
This was announced by Pentagon official Colin Kahl. According to him, these are losses for approximately six months of full-scale war in Ukraine.
– It can be safely assumed that the Russians probably lost 70 or 80 thousand people in less than six months. The number of killed and wounded in the battle may be slightly lower or higher, but it is roughly the same figure, – said a representative of the US Department of Defense.
The number of casualties is significant, he said, given that the Russian army has failed to achieve any of Vladimir Putin’s goals since invading Ukraine after February 24.
– Ukrainian moral spirit and will to fight are undeniable. I think this is much higher than the desire to fight on the part of Russia. This gives Ukrainians a significant advantage, – he believes.
