The IAEA mission arrived in Kyiv before visiting the Zaporizhzhia NPP – CNN

The mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency arrived in Kyiv before visiting the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in the temporarily occupied Energodar.
The visit took place due to the resumption of shelling by the Russian army at the ZNPP and increased threats regarding a possible nuclear accident.
The mission is headed by the head of the IAEA, Raphael Grossi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, said on Monday.
– The day has come, the IAEA Mission to support and help Zaporizhzhia is on its way. We must protect the safety of the largest nuclear facility in Ukraine and Europe, – Grossi said on Twitter.
In addition, a team of 14 UN nuclear service experts arrived in Kyiv ahead of a planned visit to the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Energodar.
