We will not stand aside: the USA, Britain and Canada have introduced new sanctions against Russia

The USA, Great Britain and Canada have introduced new sanctions against the aggressor country of the Russian Federation after Vladimir Putin announced the “joining” of the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk regions to the Russian Federation.

Updated September 30 at 5:39 p.m. The United States of America has introduced new sanctions against Russia. The list includes dozens of individuals and legal entities, according to the US Treasury Department.
The United States imposed sanctions against 14 people in the Russian military-industrial complex, two heads of the country’s central bank, family members of high-ranking officials and 278 members of the Russian legislature “for facilitating fake referendums in the Russian Federation and attempting to annex sovereign Ukrainian territory.”
– We will not stand by when Putin fraudulently tries to annex part of Ukraine, – said Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
Among those targeted by US sanctions are Russian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Novak and 278 members of the Russian legislature.
The US State Department has also imposed visa restrictions on more than 900 people, in particular, the military of Russia, Belarus and “Russian sympathizers”.
The US Treasury Department also warned of an increased risk of sanctions for individuals outside of Russia if they provide political or economic support to Moscow.
The US took action after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the largest annexation of Europe since World War II, declaring the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine “Russian”.
