Muradov replaced Oleksandr Chaik, who was in the position for less than a year, because he was appointed to it on November 21, 2021.

Recently, the commander of the Western Military District also changed in Russia. Lieutenant General Roman Berdnikov, who previously headed a group of Russian troops in Syria, was appointed to this position.

According to the Washington Post, a person appeared in Putin’s closest circle who in recent weeks directly expressed his disagreement with his actions in the war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. This follows from data obtained by US intelligence.

One of the sources said that the dissatisfaction expressed by a member of Putin’s inner circle is related to the fact that he believes that the management of military operations is ineffective. And also – dissatisfied with the mistakes made by those who conduct a military campaign.

The person’s identity has not been released, but his name appears in U.S. intelligence reports.
