The European Union will increase military aid to Ukraine to more than €3 billion – Borrell

The European Union plans to increase military aid to Ukraine to combat Russian aggression to more than €3 billion.
This was stated by EU representative Josep Borrell before the meeting of NATO defense ministers in Brussels on October 13.
– I will inform the NATO member states that we intend to approve a new tranche of our military support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Luxembourg. This amount will reach more than €3 billion thanks to the resources of the European Peace Fund, – Borrell said.
The EU wants to find a diplomatic solution to support Ukraine, but the member states will resolutely respond to any attempts by Russia to provoke further escalation, he stressed.
He emphasized that Russia continues provocative actions to escalate the war, therefore the European Union will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine for as long as it is necessary and in the amount that will be needed.
