Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggest that Russia may have entered into a new contract with Iran for the supply of Arash-2 drones.

In their latest summary, ISW specialists did not ignore the message that Russia has acquired Arash-2 drones, which began to spread on Ukrainian and Russian Telegram channels with reference to a data leak from unspecified Iranian sources.

It is not yet known how many such drones have been purchased.

Meanwhile, experts recalled the September statements of the commander of the Iranian Ground Forces, Brigadier General Kiomars Heydari, that thanks to the unique capabilities of the Arash-2 drones, Iran could attack the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa from its bases.

In view of this, the Arash-2 UAVs are allegedly faster and have a greater destructive effect than the Shahed, which the Russian Federation is already using to strike Ukrainian cities.

The Institute for the Study of War suggests that Russia will continue to use its relationship with Iran to circumvent sanctions.

However, ISW is not sure that the Russian troops will be able to achieve a more significant effect with the Arash-2 drones than with the Shahed-136.

The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for the 235th day.
