The Russian Federation announced its withdrawal from the grain agreement due to nighttime explosions in Sevastopol, which damaged, in particular, several ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Representatives of the aggressor country accuse Ukraine of attacking a ship of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia. However, Ukraine did not confirm its alleged involvement in the explosions in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

– The Russian side is ceasing participation in the implementation of agreements regarding the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian ports, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said in a statement.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak drew attention to the primitiveness of Russian blackmail, in particular, nuclear, energy and food blackmail.

Watching now

– The primitive nature of Russian blackmail in everything. Nuclear blackmail, energy, food… Fictions about the “dirty bomb” that the whole world laughs at. Fictitious terrorist attacks on one’s own facilities… Everything is too primitive and predictable. The agony of criminals who cannot understand that they will not achieve anything with infantile ultimatums, and that their time is coming to an end, he believes.

Ukraine is waiting for the reaction of Turkey and the UN to Russian statements about withdrawing from the grain agreement, presidential spokesman Serhii Nikiforov said.

– Ukraine did not sign any “grain agreements” with the Russian Federation. The signatories are Russia, Turkey and the UN. And Ukraine did not sign any agreements with the Russian Federation, because it understands that it almost never fulfills its obligations. Therefore, we are waiting for the reaction of the signatories, – he emphasized.

The grain agreement, which allows it to be exported from Ukraine by sea, saved 100 million people from poverty, the UN Secretariat said in a statement. The recovery of exports affected the decrease in prices for wheat and other products.

However, the agreements expire on November 22. Ukraine and the UN have repeatedly stated that they should be extended.

But the Russian Federation created an artificial queue at the inspection point, delaying the passage of more than 150 ships with Ukrainian agricultural products, and then announced its withdrawal from the agreement altogether.
