A detailed plan of the movement of the army of the Russian Federation to Kyiv, provided by the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to The New York Times, has appeared.
According to the document, fighters of the Russian OMON and Special Rapid Response Squad were the first column to go to Kyiv. According to the military of the Russian Federation, who was stationed in Belarus, he learned about the beginning of the war just an hour before his unit started the march.
Corporal Mykyta Chybrin, a 27-year-old soldier of the motorized rifle brigade, said that on February 23, he and his unit were at the camp celebrating the Defender of the Fatherland holiday, snacking on donated candy, when their commander approached.
The Russian command gave the order to follow the vehicle ahead and reach Kyiv within 18 hours, he said. The soldiers of the Russian Federation did not receive any further explanations.
The first cars in his convoy were supposed to leave Belarus and arrive on the outskirts of Kyiv at approximately 2:55 p.m., even sooner than the Russian fighter was told. However, the convoy immediately got bogged down, it took more than a day just to cross the border with Ukraine.

The Russian Federation has planned an almost unimpeded 24-hour rush from the border of Ukraine with the Russian Federation to a point near the Dnipro River, which is about 402 km.
According to the plan of the Russian command, the unit was supposed to dig in about two hours’ drive to Kyiv and block the armed forces that would advance from the South and East.
