The Belarusian Defense Ministry said that the missile that fell yesterday in the Brest region could be a “deliberate provocation by Ukraine”.

This was stated by the head of the Belarusian anti-aircraft missile forces Kirill Kazantsev.

In addition, the Defense Ministry is considering another version – an unintentional launch of the missile by poorly trained personnel or a malfunction of the missile itself.

– As noted earlier, in Ivanovo district, air defense systems hit a target that came from the Ukrainian side. “There are still questions about this incident, and we are considering two versions: an unintentional launch of an anti-aircraft guided missile due to poor calculation skills or a malfunction of the missile, or a deliberate provocation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Kazantsev said.

The day before, on December 29, during a new massive missile attack of the Russian enemy on peaceful cities of Ukraine, Belarus said that a missile allegedly fired from Ukraine fell on their territory.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that they are ready to conduct an objective investigation of the incident. Also, the Defense Ministry does not rule out a deliberate provocation by Russia, which has laid such a route for its missiles.
