Russia may start its own production of Shaheds – Danilov
Russia plans to launch its production of kamikaze drones in Tolyatti.
This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, on the air of the telethon “Unified News”.
According to him, Ukrainian intelligence is already aware of the agreement between Moscow and Tehran on the production of kamikaze drones in Russia.
– One of the cities is Tolyatti, where they are going to do all this; there are other cities, – Danilov said.
He added that after parts manufactured by Western companies were found in Iranian drones, UAV manufacturers may face a shortage of these components.
– When we started shooting down Iranian drones, we paid attention to the equipment of certain companies that should not have supplied this equipment to Iran.
But after it became publicly known, I do not think that the companies that supplied them will continue to do so. Then what they will build their drones from is a big question,- he said.
Recently it became known that in one of the Iranian drones, which was shot down in Ukraine in the fall of 2022, the technologies of more than ten American and Western companies were found.
