The M2 Bradley military equipment, which is to be received by the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the US Department of Defense, performs the function of armored cover for infantry and provides fire support.
This was stated by military expert Oleg Zhdanov. He assessed the firepower of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and explained how they could be useful on the front.
According to him, with the help of vehicles, it is possible to deliver the infantry to the positions where they will be struck, covering them with armor. The M2 Bradley has powerful weapons, including a 25 mm automatic cannon, two launchers for TOW and TOW-2 anti-tank guided missiles.
– This is the most common anti-tank missile system. It is used by Syrian militias in a portable version, burning Russian T-90 tanks, which they wanted to show off. The American TOW burns them like candles, – Zhdanov claims.
The military expert drew attention to the fact that the advantage of the machines lies in fire support during offensive and defensive operations.
He claims that even in a trench, a gun and an anti-tank missile system become a serious help to the infantry, who are on the first line of defense.
