Military and civilian: Norway plans to present a five-year aid plan to Ukraine

The Norwegian government plans to present to the parliament a detailed plan for long-term support to Ukraine, which will be calculated for a total of five years.
This was reported by the Vart Land publication with reference to its own sources. According to the mentioned plan, within the framework of the five-year program, they want to allocate significant funds worth billions of Norwegian kroner to Ukraine.
At the same time, in 2023, the total amount of aid is planned to be distributed equally between military and civilian support of our state.
In particular, Norway plans to allocate a grant to overcome the consequences of full-scale Russian aggression in the South of Ukraine, in order to reduce high prices for electricity and food.
The specific amount of funds planned to be allocated within the framework of the program has not yet been specified. However, the message states that Ukraine’s support will be exceptional in terms of size and duration.
Approval of the program is expected to help Norway meet the government’s target of spending 1% of GDP on aid in 2023.
