The White House is also expected to announce another major military aid package next week, before imposing new sanctions on the Kremlin.

Biden and his top aides are determined to support Ukraine as long as possible and to the fullest extent possible, although military analysts believe that the war will be protracted.

The White House administration believes that a turning point in the war will come this spring, when Russia will launch a new offensive, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will launch a counteroffensive.

For several months, Ukraine spent significant resources and troops to defend Bakhmut. American military analysts claim that it is impossible to simultaneously defend Bakhmut and launch a spring counteroffensive.
