German Chancellor Olaf Scholz plans to visit the United States on March 3 to meet with President Joe Biden and discuss support for Ukraine.
This was reported by the White House press service on Thursday, February 16.
White House press secretary Karin Jean-Pierre clarified that Scholz’s visit is an opportunity to reaffirm the deep ties of friendship between the United States and Germany.
– “On the anniversary of Russia’s brutal invasion of Ukraine, the leaders will discuss our ongoing efforts to support Ukraine, hold Russia accountable for its aggression, and strengthen transatlantic security,” Jean-Pierre said.
It is noted that, among other things, the politicians will consider further cooperation on a number of issues related to both global and regional security, including working on common challenges posed by China and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
