Canada is expanding the military training program for Ukrainians – Trudeau

During a meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced increased support for Ukraine in the training of Ukrainian military personnel.
In particular, Canada is expanding its mission to train Ukrainian sappers until October, as well as sending medical instructors.
Trudeau pledged $3 million for demining efforts and promised to work with the EU to deliver generators to Ukraine, which has suffered repeated power grid attacks since a full-scale Russian attack.
– Canada will stand side by side with the people of Ukraine for as long as it takes, – Trudeau assures.
Through 2022, Canada has allocated more than $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine, including Leopard 2 tanks, other armored vehicles, surface-to-air missiles, howitzers and ammunition.
