China repeats Russian propaganda, it cannot be considered an impartial party – Kirby
US National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby criticized Chinese President Xi Jinping’s statements that China is allegedly an impartial party in Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
– I do not think that it is possible to reasonably perceive China as an impartial country in any case, – believes the representative of the White House.
Kirby drew attention to the fact that China did not condemn the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, did not stop buying Russian oil and energy carriers.
– Xi considered it necessary to fly all the way to Moscow, he has never spoken with President Zelenskyy, he has never visited Ukraine. He and his regime continue to repeat Russian propaganda that this is some kind of war of the West against Russia and some kind of existential threat. In my opinion, this is just nonsense, – he emphasizes.
Kirby is convinced that one could talk about China’s impartiality if it was ready to hear the truth and supported appropriate negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow, taking into account the Ukrainian side.
