Slovakia plans to increase production of ammunition for Ukraine – Defense Minister

The Slovak government intends to increase the production of ammunition and artillery shells needed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend themselves against the Russian army.
This was stated by Slovak Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy. According to him, the country will now take on a key role in the production of ammunition for Ukraine.
– “We are taking concrete steps to increase the production of 155-mm ammunition at our enterprises fivefold,” the head of the Slovak Defense Ministry said.
During his visit to Ukraine, the Slovak Defense Minister hopes to assess how the previous deliveries of weapons have proven themselves in combat. By the way, 155-mm shells are standard ammunition for NATO artillery and are in great demand.
Slovakia has repeatedly provided Ukraine with necessary weapons, including Kub air defense systems, the first of 13 promised Soviet MiG-29 fighters, S-300 air defense missile system, 30 BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles, Zuzana self-propelled howitzers, and more.
