The European Commission intends to launch a new initiative to return Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. In particular, a conference with Poland is planned to launch the program.
– Russia has kidnapped thousands of children. This war crime justifies the arrest warrant issued against Vladimir Putin by the International Criminal Court, – the European Commission said in a statement.
Last month, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian Children’s Rights Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova on war crimes charges, including kidnapping children from Ukraine.
Recently, the Ukrainian charitable organization Save Ukraine reported returning 31 Ukrainian children from Russia, where the occupiers forcibly took them during the war.
