Germany announced the provision of a new package of military assistance to Ukraine, which includes, in particular, eight Vector drones.

What is Vector
Vector is an unmanned aerial vehicle of the German company Quantum Systems, designed for reconnaissance operations in difficult weather conditions.
The drone can stay in the air for up to 120 minutes, conduct video surveillance and shoot at a distance of up to 30 km.
Technical characteristics of the Vector drone
- flight radius: 15 km with a possible increase to 25 km;
- maximum flight time: two hours;
- cruising speed: up to 25 m/s;
- wingspan: 2.8 m;
- maximum take-off weight: 7.4 kg;
- payload weight: 10% of the drone’s weight (depending on the device modification).
The UAV has a two-in-one transformation system, it can be transformed into a Scorpion multicopter configuration and increase the range of tasks. Vector is designed for reconnaissance in difficult areas and at long distances from the operator of the control point.
The device is able to perform combat tasks, and the operation of its engine is almost silent. Vector is an aviation complex created to observe various objects, obtain photo or video coordinates, and transmit this information to the control point.
It is known that in military affairs, the German UAV Vector solves the issue of adjusting fire during an artillery battle. Each such drone costs about €180,000.
