US Secretary of State Antony Blinken assured that Washington has a clear plan of action to provide assistance to Ukraine to defend against Russian aggression.
He wrote about this on Twitter (X), reposting the statement of US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, who joined a letter from US officials in which they called on Congress to fully support Biden’s request to continue direct budget support to Ukraine.
Blinken stressed that Russia has started a war against Ukraine and can end it at any moment by withdrawing its troops and stopping the brutal attacks.
– As long as Russia has not done this, the United States has a clear plan of action: to help Ukraine defend itself, to support the Ukrainian people, to bring the Russian Federation to justice, – the Secretary of State noted.
The day before, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, and US Agency for International Development administrator Samantha Power called on the US Congress to approve the provision of $11.8 billion in direct budget support to Ukraine as part of Joe Biden’s additional package.
