Russian Major General Vladimir Zavadskyi has been “dismissed” in Ukraine. Anatoliy Shtefan, an officer of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Federation had been eliminated.

The governor of the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, Alexander Gusev, confirmed the killing of 45-year-old Major General Vladimir Zavadsky in the war in Ukraine.

Various sources claim that Zavadskyi could have been killed near the village of Krynky in Kherson region. There, Russian troops have been trying to seize Ukrainian army footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River in recent weeks.

During 2018-2021, Zavadskyi commanded the Kantemyriv Tank Division in the Moscow region. And later, until his death, he was the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Federation.

This corps was stationed in the Murmansk region and was subordinate to the Northern Fleet Command until the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Military analyst Kostyantyn Mashovets reported that the 80th Arctic Motorized Rifle Brigade, which is part of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Federation, operates in the Dnipro grouping in Kherson region.

According to pro-Kremlin Telegram channels, the Russian general was killed in the Dnipro group’s area of responsibility, but allegedly by a mine explosion in the rear area, not in a combat engagement.
