The counteroffensive in Ukraine slowed down due to the insufficient supply of the Armed Forces – WP

Several reasons for the slowdown of Ukraine’s counteroffensive can be listed. Among them are inaccurate calculations and insufficient supply of the Armed Forces with weapons necessary for superiority during assault operations.
The Washington Post writes about it. Journalists interviewed official representatives, military and experts in the USA, Britain and Ukraine about the possible reasons for the slowdown of the counteroffensive.
However, the US made a mistake that the Armed Forces could not transform into a Western-style Armed Forces in a short period of time, given the lack of provision of the Air Force that is involved in modern operations.
The USA insisted that the counteroffensive should take place in mid-April, then the Russian Federation would not be able to strengthen the defense lines. However, Ukraine was not ready without the transfer of additional weapons and military training.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side expected to see minefields, but even the allies were amazed at how much the ground was littered with ammunition. Some mines were buried one on top of the other to give an additional explosive effect.
Russia also actively engaged anti-tank weapons, launching missile attacks on Ukrainian troops. A significant number of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who were involved in the counteroffensive, allegedly had no combat experience, the material says.
