Poland will not deport conscript Ukrainians, but is ready to take another step – Koval

The Polish government will not deport conscripted citizens of Ukraine, but is ready to create conditions for them to leave the country on their own.
This was stated by the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Seimas, Pavel Koval, in an interview with foreign journalists. He explained that it is illegal to deport Ukrainians who can be mobilized in their homeland.
However, he pointed out that Poland can create conditions to encourage Ukrainian men to return home.
– It is necessary to use mechanisms so that Ukrainians who can fight return to Ukraine. It is necessary to ensure that when obtaining work permits or extending the period of stay, a check is carried out on partnership terms to see if these people can be mobilized in Ukraine, – he explained.
According to him, if these men can be mobilized in Ukraine, then they will be denied employment, extension of temporary protection status in Poland and payment of benefits.
According to the head of the foreign affairs committee of the Seimas, a person without money, work and in the conditions of a long illegal stay in a foreign country will not be able to last long and will leave Poland.
