The US has suspended allocating aid to Ukraine pending a decision by Congress – Kirby

At the end of the year, the USA provided Ukraine with the last package of military aid. Further support will depend on the Congress’s decision on additional funding for Kyiv.
This was stated by the coordinator of the US National Security Council, John Kirby, during a briefing at the White House.
– The aid we provided has now stopped. The attacks carried out by the Russians are only increasing. And now, as I said earlier this week, they’re using North Korean ballistic missiles to do their dirty work. So, the need is acute right now, especially in these winter months, he noted.
On December 27, the Pentagon announced the latest package of US military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $250 million . In particular, it included additional ammunition for HIMARS and NASAMS, Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, air defense components, artillery shells, etc.
On December 6, Republicans blocked a bill to provide aid to Ukraine and Israel due to the lack of provisions on the protection of US borders.
The other day, the main member of parliament from the Republicans, Senator James Lankford, said that the text of the agreement on border and immigration issues, which can unblock funding for Ukraine, can be made public as early as this week.
According to him, if the Senate approves the document in the near future, it can be transferred to the House of Representatives, which “can work on its improvement.”
