In Poland, F-16 fighter jets were taken into the air due to the missile attack on the territory of Ukraine by Russian missiles.
This was reported by the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.
The operational command warned that due to the rise of Polish and allied aircraft, the level of noise may increase, especially in the south-eastern part of the country.
– We inform you that there is an intensive activity of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, related to the mission of missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. All the necessary procedures to ensure the safety of the airspace of Poland have been initiated, – the message says.
Also, the Operational Command emphasized that it constantly monitors the situation.
We will remind that this is not the first time that the Poles raise fighter aircraft to patrol their airspace. During the war in Ukraine, there were at least two cases when Russian missiles flew into the territory of Poland.
