Poland can help Ukraine return conscripted men
In Poland, they do not reject the possibility of sending to Ukraine those conscripted citizens who will not be extended the right to stay in the country.
This is reported by the Polish agency PAP , referring to the Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
He stated that he shares the methods of Ukraine, which is trying to involve its citizens in the war, because the needs of the Defense Forces are enormous.
— I am not surprised that the Ukrainian authorities are doing everything to attract their citizens to the front. These citizens have obligations to the state, – he emphasized.
The Minister of Defense added that Poles have not hidden their indignation for a long time when they see men of military age from Ukraine spending time in restaurants and nightclubs.
When asked whether Warsaw would approve a possible request from Kyiv to send to Ukraine those men who will not be extended the right to stay in Poland, the official replied: “Everything is possible.”
– We assumed for a long time that we can help the Ukrainian side in sending to Ukraine those who are subject to military service, – he emphasized.
Introduction of a ban on providing consular services abroad
Diplomatic offices will stop providing consular services to Ukrainian men of conscription age without providing military registration documents.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, emphasized that this measure will be implemented as part of the new law on mobilization, which will enter into force on May 18.
Currently, it is about the survival of the state and its sovereignty, and those conscripted men who believe that this does not concern them cannot enjoy all the benefits of Ukrainian citizenship.
