The deputy head of the Finnish Security Police (Supo) Teemu Turunen said that the main goal of Russian sabotage is to undermine the support of Ukraine from European partners.
This is reported by Yle.
Turunen noted that Russia seeks to influence the West, and Finland is also not immune to these tricks.
– Russia has a special interest in supporting Ukraine. Finland is not the main interest of Russia, but the unity of the West in supporting Ukraine, – he believes.
According to the deputy head of Supo, as objects of possible attacks, Russia is interested in structures and logistics related to the support of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Finnish Security Police stated that the biggest threat to the country’s national security still remains the Russian Federation.
– Finland and other Western countries have been classified in Russia as unfriendly or enemy states, and Russia has various forms of harm and intimidation in its arsenal, – Turunen added.
In particular, it can be the use of various petty criminals or hooligans to cause harm and intimidation.
According to a representative of the security police, Finland had to adapt to a new era.
Russia’s preparation of sabotage in Europe
The Financial Times, citing data from special services, reported that Russia is preparing explosions, arson and attacks on infrastructure throughout Europe.
It is noted that the Russians are preparing strikes both independently and through intermediaries. The death of civilians does not bother the Russian Federation.
