Zelenskyy arrived in the Philippines: what is known about the visit
On the morning of June 3, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on an official visit to Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

During his visit to Manila, Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the first time in the history of bilateral relations.
– I am grateful to the Philippines for supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, for a clear position regarding Russia’s aggression against our country, as well as for supporting important UN resolutions, – the head of state emphasized.
He also announced the intention to open an embassy of Ukraine in Manila this year, which will strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The leaders of the states discussed the inaugural Global Peace Summit and the importance of representing Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines, at it.
Zelenskyy also discussed bilateral cooperation with Markos regarding the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
Before that, on June 1-2, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was in Singapore , where he held a number of bilateral meetings, including with US congressmen and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, and also spoke at the Shangri-La defense forum.
