In Russia, for the first time in history, a Su-57 multi-role fighter was hit.
The information was confirmed by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on June 9.

The Su-57 fighter jet was hit on June 8 on the territory of the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, which is 589 km from the battle line.
This fact is confirmed by satellite images of the airfield.
The photos show that on June 7, the Su-57 was still standing intact, and on June 8, ruptures from the explosion and characteristic traces of a fire that broke out due to fire damage appeared next to it.

The Russian occupiers traditionally prefer to remain silent about any loss of their equipment.
So the Russians also did not mention the first ever defeat of the Su-57 fighter.
On June 8, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation only reported the destruction of three drones over the territory of the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.
Governor Ihor Babushkin also stated that the “attempted attack” by drones on one of the objects of the region was repelled.
Babushkin did not report any destruction, although all special services were then put on high alert.

Su-57 is the most modern fighter that can strike with Kh-59 /Kh-69 missiles.
There are a few units of such combat aircraft in service with the Air and Space Forces of the Russian Federation.
