The 14th package of EU sanctions against the Russian Federation
On June 20, the 14th package of sanctions in response to Russian aggression against Ukraine was agreed at the level of EU ambassadors.
– This package includes new targeted measures and maximizes the impact of existing sanctions by closing loopholes, – reports the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, commented on the new sanctions against Russia.
– This tough package will continue to deprive Russia of access to key technologies. It will deprive Russia of further energy revenues. Will fight with Putin’s shadow fleet and the shadow banking network abroad, – she wrote on the Kh network.
Earlier, the Western media wrote that on June 14, the post-presidents of the EU could not agree on new sanctions against the Russian liquefied natural gas sector, because Germany was not satisfied with the clause on the responsibility of European companies for violating these sanctions.
