Part of the 155-mm projectiles will be transferred to Ukraine: Rheinmetall received the largest contract

The German defense and industrial concern Rheinmetall received from the Bundeswehr the largest order in its history for the production of 155 mm artillery shells.
The value of the contract reaches €8.5 billion.

When Ukraine will receive artillery shells from Rheinmetall
The press release states that the order for artillery ammunition is intended to replenish Germany’s own defense potential, as well as transfer new packages of military aid to Ukraine.
Also recipient countries within the framework of allied support are the Netherlands, Estonia and Denmark.
Rheinmetall noted that the first deliveries are planned for early 2025.
Rheinmetall and Ukraine
The German company Rheinmetall plans to supply tens of thousands of ammunition, Leopard tanks, Marder infantry fighting vehicles, Skynex air defense systems and other military equipment to Ukraine during 2024-2025.
Spain’s Rheinmetall Expal Munitions will produce the projectiles to be delivered during 2025.
