Czech Republic to train almost 2 thousand Ukrainian military in 2024 – Prime Minister Fiala

Military exercises: 1.7 thousand Ukrainian soldiers to be held in the Czech Republic by the end of the year

By the end of 2024, 1,700 Ukrainian servicemen will undergo military training in the Czech Republic under the guidance of professional instructors.

The agreement was signed in Prague on July 16 by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

– Today, we signed an agreement on the relocation of production, it is a line of small arms. We are talking here about long-term training of the Ukrainian military.

This year, it will be 1,700 servicemen, and we have jointly trained 6,000 people in total. This is evidence of our successful cooperation with Ukraine,” Fiala emphasized.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal arrived in Prague on an official visit to meet with his counterpart Petr Fiala.

Together, the politicians pledged long-term cooperation in the areas of defense, energy and economy.
