Analysts reviewed satellite images taken on August 6 and 11. It can be seen from them that since the beginning of the operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the territory of the Kursk region, the Russian troops have started the construction of a line of trenches along the road on the southern outskirts of the city of Lhov.

According to CyberBoroshno, Russian fortification positions are located 45 km from the state border of Ukraine.

The created fortifications are tangential to the city, which makes them part of the defense of the settlement itself.

The city of Lhov is important from a logistical point of view, analysts of the Military portal note, because the key route E38 passes through it, connecting the border city of Rylsk (RF), as well as Kursk (the regional center of Kurshchyna) and Kurchatov (where the Kursk NPP is located). In the city of Lhov itself there is a railway junction Lhov-2.

The OSINTtechnical project also reports on fortifications 45 km from the Russian-Ukrainian border. According to their data, the Russians began to “quickly dig” a network of trenches, but if the Russian Federation retreats from them as well, it will lead to the transfer of a large part of Russian territories to Ukraine, according to the researchers.

Currently, information about the advance of Ukrainian forces in Kursk region is not known for certain.

According to DeepState analysts, the breakthrough in the Kursk region covered 44 settlements. In addition, there are 10 more whose status is not yet determined.
