An attempt to plunge Ukrainians into darkness: Biden condemned the massive Russian attack on Ukraine

US President Joe Biden strongly condemned Russia’s massive attack on Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure on August 26 and assured that the US would continue to provide support to Ukraine.
This is stated in Biden’s statement on the White House website.
Joe Biden condemned the massive attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine
In his statement, the US president recalled that on August 26, Russia launched another wave of missiles and drones on Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure, which led to the death of civilians and the destruction of energy infrastructure facilities.
– I strongly condemn Russia’s war against Ukraine and its attempts to plunge the Ukrainian people into darkness, – said Biden.
He also emphasized that Russia will never succeed in Ukraine, and the spirit of the Ukrainian people will never be broken.
President Biden noted that the United States will continue to lead a coalition of more than 50 countries in support of Ukraine. This coalition provides Ukraine with critically needed military equipment, including air defense systems.
– As I announced at the NATO summit in July, the United States and our allies provided Ukraine with equipment for five additional strategic air defense systems, and I changed the priorities of American exports of air defense equipment so that they primarily go to Ukraine, – said Biden.
He also added that the United States supplies energy equipment to Ukraine to repair its systems and strengthen the stability of the Ukrainian energy system.
– As I told President Zelenskyy on August 23, the US support for Ukraine is unwavering. The United States will stand with the people of Ukraine until they win, – Joe Biden emphasized.
We will remind you that earlier in the White House, Russia called another massive attack on the territory of Ukraine a “classic move by Putin” and emphasized that the United States is focused on providing Ukraine with reliable means of air defense.
