Russian troops are gathering forces for a large-scale offensive in the Donbass. The enemy is in no hurry with him, as he fears a repeat of his failed blitzkrieg in northern Ukraine.
Serhiy Haidai, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, said this in an interview.
– We understand that there will be an offensive in the near future. There will be a huge battle for Donbass. We see that there is an accumulation of forces, means. Huge amount of equipment. Preparing…We are waiting for the offensive for about three or four days. They are still slowing down because they do not want to repeat their stupid blitzkrieg, which has been going on for so many days. They do not want repetition, so they gather strength so as to make a 100% breakthrough. We should have been yesterday or the day before yesterday. It didn’t work out. Moreover, our people suppress them somewhere, do not allow them somewhere, – Gaidai emphasized.
He expressed the view that Putin’s troops could go on the offensive in the coming days. And the outcome of this offensive will determine the negotiation process between the delegations of Ukraine and Russia to end the war.
Gaidai believes that the offensive of Russian troops may begin with a massive shelling in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which will last several hours.
– I think there will be something like this: somewhere at 3.00-4.00 in the morning a massive shelling will begin. Mortars of heavy and large calibers, artillery, aircraft, MLRS, Hail, Tornado, Hurricane, Point-U, Point-B will be used. They use everything they have, – said the head of RMA.
Next, according to Gaidai, Putin’s troops will attack with a huge number of tanks and infantry.
At the same time, he noted that the Russian invaders will not be able to attack simultaneously from the north, south and east, because they do not have enough forces and means to do so.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy has now focused on capturing Mariupol and attacking the Izyum area. At the same time, Russian invaders are launching missile strikes on civilian targets throughout Ukraine.
