The time of the meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Russian President Vladimir Putin and its context have not yet been determined.
This was announced by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President Mykhailo Podolyak, commenting on the information of the Turkish Ministry of Defense that a meeting between Zelenskyi and Putin is possible in the coming days.
– On the one hand, we are seeing a certain intensification of military clashes in the East of Ukraine, as well as attempts to completely destroy Mariupol. On the other hand, consultations continue at the level of working subgroups, which prepare the positions of the parties in legal terms. As soon as the specifics appear, we will make a special message about it, – he explained.
On April 27, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hoped that, on his initiative, negotiations between Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Vladimir Putin would take place in the coming days.
He made the corresponding statement after the meeting of the advisory group on defense and security issues for Ukraine with the participation of more than 40 countries, which took place the day before at the Ramstein airbase in Germany.
At the same time, earlier the representatives of the Office of the President said that negotiations between Zelenskyi and Putin would take place after the battle in Donbass.
